MĆŗsica por amor

MĆŗsica por Amor consists of a series of projects dedicated to strengthening the well-being of Puerto Rican families through musical education. We firmly believe that music education is a human right capable of transforming lives. Our main projects include group instrumental classes, music education with wellness workshops, community outreach concerts, professional training courses and preparation of teaching materials.

We have the following projects:

Since 2015, the Suzuki Violin Association of Puerto Rico has offered music classes and workshops in the community of La Perla and Old San Juan. Currently, teachers certified in the Suzuki Method offer early musical stimulation workshops based on the Suzuki philosophy at the Lincoln School, located in the urban area. This effort is carried out thanks to the donations we receive from individuals and other entities.

These times of so many problems caused by the socioeconomic crisis, the aftermath of the hurricanes, earthquakes and the pandemic, all families in Puerto Rico may be going through difficult situations and need community support. However, the communities of La Perla and RĆo Piedras Centro need even more support. Music education for well-being provides tools for life including cognitive development, character development and human sensitivity. Likewise, when working within the framework of the family, all its members benefit from it.
